Diamond Fold Christmas Card with Hot Foil Deer | Mystery Stamping #74

 A beautiful winter woodland scene, shimmering gold deer, and a fun diamond-shaped fold make this Christmas card something special!

Welcome to Mystery Stamping #74! This week, I brought back one of my favorite card designs and gave it a festive makeover using Stampin' Up!® products.

The card features the beautiful Whispering Woods Designer Series Paper, Shaded Spruce cardstock, and gold hot foiling. I love how the forest background pairs with those elegant deer!

A Fun Diamond Fold Christmas Card

The star of this design is the diamond-shaped centerpiece. The card base is cut and folded to create an eye-catching focal point that looks much more complicated than it really is.

That's one of my favorite things about Mystery Stamping! You start with a few supplies and clues, then watch the design come together.

For this version, I chose a winter woodland theme, but this card design could easily be adapted for birthdays, thank-you cards, or just about any occasion.

The gold deer are especially pretty against the soft colors of the forest paper!

Bonus Technique: Reverse Hot Foiling

There's an extra treat in this Mystery Stamping video!

After creating the card, I demonstrate how to use a reverse hot foil plate to transfer the leftover foil onto another piece of cardstock.

It's a great way to get more from your supplies and create another beautiful design from foil that might otherwise be discarded.
