Double Flap Fun Fold Card with Radiant Sunflowers | Mystery Stamping #36

 This double flap fun fold card was the surprise reveal for Mystery Stamping #36! I used the Stampin’ Up!® Radiant Sunflowers stamps and dies to create a warm sunflower card that works beautifully for fall—or anytime you want to send a cheerful hello to a friend.

Mystery Stamping is a fun way to use the supplies you already have. I share the cutting and scoring clue before we begin, but no one knows exactly what the finished card will look like until we assemble the pieces together.

A Double Flap Fun Fold Card

The base of this card has a shortened front panel. A second, smaller flap is attached from the opposite side and overlaps the first panel, creating the double flap design.

It looks like a more complicated fun fold, but the construction is surprisingly easy. You can position the smaller flap toward the top, middle, or bottom of the card depending on the stamped image or greeting you want to use.

Radiant Sunflowers and Watercolor Pencils

I stamped the large sunflower in Early Espresso ink and colored it with several shades of Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils. Starting with the lighter colors and adding darker shades gave the flower more depth.

A Blender Pen softened the pencil marks and blended the colors together, creating an almost-watercolor appearance. This is an easy way to avoid harsh pencil lines while still controlling exactly where the color goes.

After coloring the sunflower, I cut it out with the coordinating die and attached it with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Linen Thread and coordinating embellishments added the finishing touches.

Make This Fun Fold Your Own

This card layout can be used with far more than sunflowers. Try changing the Designer Series Paper, placing a greeting on the overlapping panel, or replacing the stamped focal image with a die-cut shape.

That is one of my favorite things about Mystery Stamping: everyone begins with the same basic clue, but every finished card is different.

Christmas Mice Fun Fold Card | Mystery Stamping #35

I brought an older Mystery Stamping layout back this week and gave it a completely new Christmas look!

For Mystery Stamping #35, I used the adorable Stampin’ Up! Christmas Mice Bundle along with A Little Christmas Designer Series Paper to create this Christmas fun fold card.

One of the things I love about Mystery Stamping is that the measurements may stay the same, but the finished card can look completely different depending on the stamps, paper, and colors you choose.

Christmas Mice Card Details

The Christmas Mice Bundle has so many cute little details, but one of my favorites is the way the dies allow the mice to hold some of the accessories.
For my card, this little mouse is delivering a Christmas present. I paired him with the sentiment “Sending little moments of joy & cheer,” which seemed just right for this sweet Christmas card.
The plaid A Little Christmas Designer Series Paper gave me the traditional Christmas colors I wanted and worked perfectly with the bright red gift.

Scarecrow Fun Fold Card — Mystery Stamping #44

 Sometimes digging through the archives pays off!

I recently went through my Mystery Stamping videos to see which card recipes I’ve used, which ones I’ve repeated, and which ones have been quietly sitting there waiting for another turn. Mystery Stamping #44 was one of those forgotten favorites.

As soon as I looked at the layout again, I remembered why I liked it. It’s a fun fold that looks a little complicated but is actually very easy to assemble—and there is plenty of room to make it completely your own.

For this version, I went full fall! 🍂

I used the adorable scarecrow from the Fun for Fall Bundle and created a little harvest scene around him with corn stalks, a fence and hay bales. The warm colors and fall Designer Series Paper were just begging for a scarecrow!

Sunflower Fun Fold Card – Mystery Stamping #125

Mystery Stamping #125 turned into a gorgeous sunflower fun fold—and I think this one may need to go on my favorites list! 🌻

I love a card that looks a little unusual but really isn’t difficult once you see how it goes together. For this one, we cut away part of the card front and then added layers of Designer Series Paper, embossed cardstock, and a sentiment panel.

I used the new Radiant Sunflowers products for my card, giving everyone a little sneak peek at something coming in September. The sunflower paper paired beautifully with the sunflower embossing folder, so of course I had to use both!

The design itself can easily be recreated with other papers, embossing folders, and stamps you already have.

Silly Old Bear Fun Fold Card | Mystery Stamping #26

Mystery Stamping is always a fun surprise, and this project turned into the sweetest fun fold card featuring the Silly Old Bear Suite from Stampin’ Up!

For Mystery Stamping #26, we used one set of clues to create one completed card. I followed the clues along with everyone else and ended up with this cheerful fun fold design.

A Sweet Fun Fold Card

This card has such a cozy, storybook feel. The Silly Old Bear Suite is perfect for creating cards that feel warm, friendly, and a little nostalgic.

The fun fold adds interest without making the card feel difficult. It’s a great layout to use again with other designer papers, stamp sets, and greetings from your own craft room.

Use What You Have

One of the best parts of Mystery Stamping is that everyone’s card looks a little different. You do not need to have the exact same supplies I used.

For this card, you can substitute:

• A favorite designer paper
• Any cute stamped image
• A greeting for friendship, birthday, thank you, or encouragement
• Coordinating cardstock and embellishments

The clues give you a starting point, but your creativity makes the card your own.

Sweet Bugs Mystery Stamping Card | Fun & Easy Cardmaking Tutorial

This week’s Mystery Stamping project was such a fun and cheerful one! For Mystery Stamping #121, we created a cute handmade card featuring the Sweet Bugs Stamp Set and Cute as a Bug Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up!

I love how bright and happy this card turned out. The patterned paper does so much of the work, and the stamped little bug image makes the card feel playful and sweet. It’s the perfect kind of card to send to a friend just because.

Sweet Bugs Mystery Stamping Card

Mystery Stamping is always a fun way to create because we start with the pieces from the clue/supply list and then assemble the card together step-by-step. You don’t know exactly what the finished project will look like until we’re done, which makes it a little crafty surprise!

For this card, I used:

• Sweet Bugs Stamp Set

• Cute as a Bug Designer Series Paper

• Coordinating cardstock

• A simple “hello friend” greeting

• A few little embellishments for extra detail

As always, you can follow along with the same products or use what you already have in your craft room. This layout would work beautifully with lots of different patterned papers and stamp sets. Here's the clue:

A Fun & Easy Handmade Card Idea

This card is a great reminder that cute cards don’t have to be complicated. A few layers of pretty paper, a stamped focal point, and a sweet sentiment can come together to make something really special.

The Cute as a Bug Designer Series Paper adds so much charm to the background, and the Sweet Bugs images are just plain fun. This would be a great card for friendship, encouragement, or happy mail.

Wild Bunch Fun Fold Birthday Card | Mystery Stamping #78

Last night's Mystery Stamping was filled with creativity, laughter, and plenty of surprises as we worked through the clues together to create this fun fold birthday card.

For this week's Mystery Stamping project, I featured the adorable Wild Bunch stamp set, the June Product of the Month. The charming little cow makes the perfect focal point for a cheerful birthday card and adds just the right touch of country charm.

Why I Love This Card

This project combines several things I enjoy:

• A fun fold that adds interest without being difficult
• Designer paper doing much of the work
• Simple coloring for a personalized touch
• A design that works with many different stamp sets

The clue:

The fold creates a card that feels a little extra special while still being easy enough to recreate with supplies you already own.

Mystery Stamping #120: Today Is Your Day Fun Fold Card

This week’s Mystery Stamping project featured the Relaxing Waterside products, and I loved how this fun fold came together!

For Mystery Stamping, I give the measurements and clues ahead of time, and then we create the card together step-by-step during the live video. The fun part is that everyone can use supplies they already have, so even though we follow the same basic layout, every card can look completely different.

For my version, I used the Relaxing Waterside products to create a peaceful nautical-style card with layered details, texture, and a fun fold design. The “Today Is Your Day” sentiment makes this card flexible enough for a birthday, retirement, encouragement, Father’s Day, or just a thoughtful handmade greeting.

I especially love the mix of:

• textured background pieces
• nautical images
• layered oars and life preserver
• a little twine
• anchor embellishment
• soft waterside colors

This is one of my favorite card fun fold recipes!  Want the measurements?  They can be found here on my Facebook Page.  They are in centimeters instead of inches.  I've tried to convert it, but these measurements work the best in my opinion.  If you have a Stampin' Up! trimmer, both measurements are found at the top.  If you don't have one, I know where you can get one. 😉
