So let's get started! This will be one of the cards that we will be making at my next class. It hasn't been scheduled yet because I'm still driving combine for my hubby and we have to finish harvest first. You know the old saying "work, then play".
I used the Country Livin' Stamp Set from the Annual Catalog. I stamped the guitar and sentiment on Very Vanilla cardstock(3.75"x 5") using black archival ink. The sentiment I used is from an old stamp set. I stamped the boots on a scrap piece. I then water-colored them using ink refills and aqua painters. I cut the boots out once they dried and attached them using dimensionals. Using linen thread I made a lasso and placed it over one boot. I mounted it on Dapper Denim cardstock(4"x 5.25") and then Crumb Cake cardstock. The Crumb Cake piece is 8.5"x 5.5", scored at 4.25" and folded. The Very Vanilla cardstock may be a bit warped after being wet then drying so Snail Adhesive doesn't hold well enough to use. Use Fast Fuse or Tear and Tape for best results. I then added the colored enamel dots. I plan on making several of these cards and using different sentiments for many occasions.
