Harvest Hello!

Harvest is in full swing here at our farm!  It's a late harvest and we seem to be battling the weather constantly.  I've been driving the combine on days that the weather cooperates.  But I try to craft a bit when I can.  Here's a quick and easy project that I came up with!

One of the first things that caught my eye in the new holiday catalog was the Harvest Hellos Bundle.  I've loved apples probably more after teaching for several years.  All teachers love apples, right?  The pumpkins were also cute though.  I thought they'd make cute bookmarks! (That's the teacher in me!)

I stamped and punched out 2 apples or pumpkins.  I also punched out leaves and stems.  I then used tear-and-tape to adhere just the top 1/3 of the 2 shapes together.  I sandwiched the stem in between.  I added the leaves to the outside using glue dots.  They easily slip over the top of a page in your favorite book or Stampin' Up! catalog!  Share them with all your friends!

Happy crafting!

Up, Up, And Away!

One of the first things I had to purchase when I saw the 2019 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog is the Above the Clouds Bundle.  I'm not sure why as I've never been around a hot air balloon.  Chances are pretty good that I wouldn't ride in one because I'm afraid of heights.  So it must have been the cute cards that I saw and the fact that the punch can also be used to make large flowers. This card also used the Stitched Nested Label Dies which are a definite must-have for me!   I chose to CASE (copy and share everything) the card from page 8 of the catalog.

1. Cut Flirty Flamingo cardstock 11" x 4.25".  Score at 5.5".

2. Drag Whisper White Craft Ink pad across card front gently.

3.  Cut Whisper White cardstock with Nested Label Die using Big Shot or other cutting machine.  Stamp balloon with Granny Apple Green and basket with Crumb Cake Ink.  Stamp off solid part of balloon. Stamp clouds in Pool Party.

4.  Stamp Bermuda Bay and Flirty Flamingo balloons on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock.  Stamp off solid part of balloon.  Use Hot Air Balloon punch to cut out balloons.  Use a scrap of Crumb Cake cardstock to stamp and punch baskets.

5.  Adhere white die on card base using Snail.  Add balloons and baskets with Dimensionals.

6.  Cut Flirty Flamingo heart.  Attach to balloon with glue dot.  Add linen thread bow with rolled glue dot.

7.  Add sentiment of choice to inside.  Give to a friend.

Bricks and Daisies

When I got the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder, I had to try it out.  I was excited about it from the first I saw it.  So I grabbed a brick colored scrap of paper and ran it through my Big Shot.*  I set it aside after oohing and awing over it.  About a week later, I saw the paper just sitting there waiting to become something.  So I trimmed it down to be a card front.  Although it is 3D, it needed more.  I ran my white ink pad over it lightly.  I really liked that!  But now what?  Wink of Stella, of course! Then I started playing with some punches and stamps that I had laying around.  I was so happy when it all came together!  I've made several more with different sentiments.  It was also a card project at my last class.  Some cards I make are a "copy" of something I've seen elsewhere, but this was all mine!

Happy Crafting!

Cheryl

*I hadn't ordered the blue plate to use with my Big Shot.  I finally got the right mix for a shim, but ordered the blue plate with my next order as it's much easier!  The blue plate is for all 3D embossing folders purchased from the Annual Catalog 2019 and all future catalogs until further notice.

Simple Happy Birthday

Hi all!

I needed a quick birthday card the other day and I remembered a simply thank you card that I made a year or so ago.  So I made the thank you card idea into a birthday card!

What do you think?

I love the daisy punch so anytime I get to use it I am a happy girl!

The base is Whisper White. 4.25" x 5.5" folded in half.  Then I added a piece of 4" x 5.25" piece of Animal Expedition DSP.  Next, I punched the daisy into a piece of 3.5" x 4.75". I saved the punched out daisy for another project.  Next, I stamped the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the Better Together Stamp Set using Berry Burst ink.  I mounted the white daisy paper onto the DSP using dimensionals. Lastly, I added a clear faceted gem in the center of the daisy.  I stamped on the inside of the card too.

Now its off in the mail!
