Paper Pumpkin Blissful Blooms

The August Paper Pumpkin kit was one of my favorites yet!  The Blissful Blooms kit had the supplies for 10 beautiful cards.  The sentiments were wonderful especially the one for a sympathy card.  I made 9 cards and made one of the cards into a lovely box.

The directions for this are quite easy.  Cut the card in half on the score line.  Then trim 1/8" from the top and side of the base (white) of the box.  Score 3/4" on all 4 sides of the base and top.

Cut a notch on both score lines to the other score line.

Using a bone folder, crease the score lines on both the base and top.  Add Tear & Tape Adhesive to the corner flaps.

Remove the paper from the Tear & Tape and form the box base and top.  Apply pressure to the tape for a more secure bond.

Stamp sentiment on rectangle piece and embellish the box as you'd like.
Give to your favorite person filled with something good!

Beautiful Colors

In celebration of Stampin' Up!'s 30th Anniversary, many things are getting an updated look and feel.  The selection of colors is not being left behind!  This June when the new catalog comes out, there will be a Color Revamp.  This means that Stampin' Up! has brought us new colors, brought back some old favorites, and reorganized the collections.  The colors look amazing!  I'm excited to play with many of the new ones!

Stampin' Up! also took this opportunity to redesign their stamp pad cases.  I haven't tried one yet, but I hear they are more user friendly than the cases they have now.  They also changed the ink formula a bit by adding a defoamer.

Here's a peek at the new colors.  Which ones are your favorites?

My Top 5 Sale-a-bration Products

Sale-a-bration ends tomorrow!  I've really enjoyed the free products I've earned this year.  Here are my Top 5.

Heartfelt Blooms didn't grab my attention right away, but after seeing a few examples made with it, I was hooked!  The details on this stamp are amazing.

Lots of Lavender, on the other hand, I fell for immediately!  I love it's simplicity.

I love the three pack of shimmer ribbon!  The Calypso Coral Ribbon was the perfect thing to use to string my Easter Banner together.

On Stampin' Up!'s second release of products for Sale-a-bration, I was totally taken by the Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder.  I was able to order it early as a demonstrator. On these cards, I also used a must have from the first release...The Celebrate You Thinlit Dies.  Lucky us!  These two products will be available when the new catalog launches in June!

So there are the top five products I fell in love with and used the most from this year's Sale-a-bration offerings.  It's not too late to order and earn free products or to join my team to start your own business or just be a happy shopper with great perks and discounts!  Click here to check out either option!  It ends March 31st so don't wait!

Have a very Happy Easter!

Happy Crafting!

Happy Easter Banner

I am so excited to share this project with you!  It's one I've wanted to try for awhile.  One thing I discovered after making it, however, is that it is difficult to photograph well.  Here's what I have so far.

What do you think?  Here's a closer look at the word "Happy".

You can see the details better in this picture.

How did I make this?  Well, I used my Large Letter Dies to cut out "Happy Easter" in Melon Mambo Cardstock using the Big Shot.  I then used the large oval from the Stitched Shapes Dies to make the colored "eggs" using the Painted With Love Designer Series Paper.  Next, I used the large Layering Oval to make the frilly background for the "eggs" using Calypso Coral Cardstock.  I used Fast Fuse and Dimensionals to adhere the "egg" pieces together.  I stitched the ends of a piece of Calypso Coral Ribbon from the Sale-a-bration Brochure Ribbon Pack so it will hang on the wall.  Finally, I used mini clothespins to attach the "eggs".  Ta-da!

Only 19 days left to get almost $200 in Stampin' Up! products for only $99 and free shipping during Sale-a-bration!  Everything you (or your friends) order after that is discounted 20% or more.  No obligations!  Only opportunities!  More information here.

Other offers during Sale-a-bration are also leaving soon.  Until March 31st, you get to select free product for every $50 you spend.  If your order (or you and your friends) is $250 or more, you earn $25 extra in Stampin' Rewards.  That would meant at least $50 in free products plus the Sale-a-bration items you earned.

Part 2 of my sampler class is this Thursday from 7-10pm at the Senior Center in Circle.  Here's what my daughter has done on hers so far.  Cost of the class is $15.  It does not include the 12x12 frame.  You are welcome to come make cards with the supplies also.  Cards are $3 each.

Coffee and Card is next Wednesday at the Lunch Box in Circle from 2-5.  Stop in anytime and order a drink from Billie, then make a card or 2 with me! Cards are $3 each.

Hope to craft with you soon!

Heartfelt Blooms

I love the Heartfelt Blooms Sale-a-bration stamp set.  It is so versatile!  I have used it for the get-well card below and a thinking of you card too.  It could be used as a beautiful birthday card as well.

I stamped the floral stamp on white, then fuzzy cut the bouquet.  I also randomly stamped the bouquet on the card base. I stamped Sorry from the Sorry for Everything stamp set on Whisper White cardstock.  I used three strips of the Whisper White Organza Ribbon behind the Sorry.  I mounted both parts using dimensionals.
For the inside, I stamped a corner with the bouquet stamp and added a sentiment from the Sorry for Everything set.

On this card, I used the retiring Sweet Sugarplum ribbon and ink along with Crumb Cake cardstock and ink.  I also used a gold faceted gem.

This wonderful set is only available until the end of this month.  To earn it, you must place a $50 order.  To celebrate my 6th anniversary this month, I am sending everyone who orders $50 or more, a free spool of Whisper White Organza Ribbon.

Beautiful Day

Yes, it's a beautiful day to play with stamps!  It's getting cold and windy again here so I wouldn't call it a beautiful day outside.

I love this simple stamp set.  Recently in a class, we made this card.  We used the Beautiful Day Stamp Set (item #145915), Stampin' Blends, and Stampin' Emboss Powder in white (item # 109132).

We used the stained glass technique.  To do this, stamp the butterfly image in VersaMark on a piece of vellum. Then sprinkle white embossing powder over it and remove the excess.  Then heat set the embossing powder using a heat tool.

Once cool, turn the image over and start coloring in the spaces on the back of the paper.

Once all the spaces are colored, turn over.  Beautiful stained glass-look!

Cut the image out.  Stamp your sentiment on a piece of 4" x 5.25" cardstock.  Then run the cardstock though the big shot to dry emboss it.  On this card, I used a retired embossing folder. Then adhere the center of the butterfly to the cardstock with half of a dimensional.  You may bend the wings a little to make it more 3D.  Mount the cardstock on a 8.5"x 5.5" piece of cardstock scored at 4.25".
I hope to craft with you soon!

I just got these sets and am ready to play!  Stay tuned!

Let the fun begin!

My new Occasions Catalog order arrived, but I had to be a basketball mom instead of playing.  Family first!  Today I get to play!  I'm very excited!  These are some of my favorites.  I have a few more that I might order later.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Catalog too!  The new Occasions Catalog is available starting today!  There are so many fun stamps, papers, and more.  I am excited to share them with you!

With it, Sale-a-bration begins too!  Sale-a-bration (SAB) is that time each year when free products can be earned by everyone!  Products can be ordered from either the Annual Catalog or the Occasions Catalog.  It's also a great time to host a workshop or catalog party or join my team!

First, for every $50 purchased, you earn free products.  There is no limit as to how many can be earned.

Next, for every $250 purchased either alone or as a workshop or party, an extra $25 in Stampin' Rewards are earned.  That's at least $50 free!  Plus SAB freebies too!

Finally, if you join my Crafting With Me team, there are even more perks than normal.  It is $99 to join Stampin' Up! as a demonstrator.  For your $99, you pick $125 worth of any products you wish.  During SAB, you also pick 2 more stamps set of any value.  There are business supplies sent to you also as well.  From that point on, you get a minimum of 20% off of all your orders and earn 20% on orders from others too.

Check out the latest products and SAB!  I'd love to answer any questions or help in any way.
